A strength training SET refers to any number of continuous repetitions that are performed for any given exercise.

To facilitate the achievement of muscle development, the body ideally requires the performance of at least 3 strength training sets which I aptly name and list in their appropriate order below.

Set 1: The Wake-Up Set – This is the set that gets the blood flowing and wakes up the targeted muscle.

Set 2: The Shake-Up Set – This is the set that lets the targeted muscle know that it’s more than just a wake-up call and that it’s time to put in some continued effort.

Set 3 and Beyond: The Break-Up Set(s) – This is the set or sets that actually begin to cause varying degrees of muscle tissue break up or tearing in direct relation to the targeted muscle.

So if your goal is to facilitate the achievement of muscle development, I strongly suggest that you put in the SET VOLUME and of course with an appropriately challenging amount of weight!

After the pandemic when I abruptly stopped with a personal trainer in NYC,I began twice a week a month ago and I couldn't be more pleased. Z the trainer is excellent..He gears the workouts to my level. He is considerate and professional. I can see progress in my strength and range if motion in the month I have been training at Mind and Body. I am 79 years old. My wife joined as well because my experience is very good.

Z is the best trainer I have ever had. He is always changing up the exercises, so you don’t get bored. He never lets you get tired as he is always pushing you and keeping you motivated. He is very flexible with time and the workouts are quick, but effective. I 100% recommend him for everybody!

Zor is an excellent trainer. He gets the best performance out of everyone in class and he makes working out fun! He also is really skilled at working around people's issues, like knee, ankle, lower back, etc. I look forward to every class and I am energized for the rest of the day. I finally addressed my new year's resolution of improving my posture and I feel so much stronger as I continue to train with Zor.
